    SRSO has organized a seminar on “From Safety-I to Safety-II: Improvement or Backsliding in the Measurement of Safety Performance?” on 10 May 2019 at Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre.   Details of the seminar are as follows:

    Mr. Michael Leung started his career in occupational health, safety and environmental sustainability back in 1979 as a Factory Inspector of the Labour Department, and has since worked in various sectors including telecommunications, tertiary education and construction.

    The Society has organized the Annual Safety Seminar cum Annul Dinner on 14 June 2019 (Friday) at the Royal Plaza Hotel.   And the details are as follows:

    The first Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) Demonstration Project has been completed few months ago in Hong Kong. In this CPD seminar, we will convey professional knowledge of Integrated Digital Project Delivery (IDPD) scheme and share challenges on health and safety under IDPD application.

    Mr. Lo, with a building engineering background, is the Project Manager of the Gammon Construction Limited.  He oversaw the abovementioned MiC project from inception to completion.

She also is the Regional HSE Manager of a bank client responsible for the HSE performance over APAC region for seven countries.

     

    Abstract of the Seminar :

    After the launched of the WELL Building Standard by the International WELL Building Institute in 2014, the awareness of workplace wellness become increasing among many property owners and occupiers. CBRE conducted a research to interview occupiers over the APAC regions to understand their motivation in adopting workplace wellness programme including the current workplace culture in APAC.
